Louis Hamilton, President

We of The California Retired Teachers’ Association, Division #76 welcome you to our website. CRTA is the largest retired educators' organization in the nation. The core purpose of CRTA is "to protect and advocate for the interests of retired educators". Our association is built around the concept that we need to help one another to achieve what we cannot do alone.

Our Lassen Plumas Division #76, as indicated in its title serves two counties. Our 235 members are joined to over 53,000 CRTA educators in working to sponsor pertinent legislation and to monitor the California Legislature and the U.S. Congress relative to bills that affect retired educators. For the last 20 years, we have had an excellent Legislative Advocate, David Walrath working for us in the political arena. We also provide a variety of services and programs to inform, enhance and dignify the lives of our members.

We publish a newsletter which keeps the members informed of legislation, upcoming events, and news of our region.

Since we want to continually improve our effectiveness, we welcome ideas and suggestions from our members. We encourage our membership to take full advantage of the services, programs, and fellowship of our organization.

Our division meets on the third Wednesday of September, November, April and June at various locations to be determined. Our Board meets on the third Wednesday of the month preceding the general meeting at various Lassen and Plumas County locations.

We invite you to attend our general meetings, board meetings, activities and events that are scattered throughout the year. Keep up to date by reading the latest CRTA newsletter. If you are a former teacher or administrator of Division #76, we hope that you will choose to join us and get involved in some aspect of CRTA.

I look forward to hearing from you! Please feel free to contact me to find out how we can support one another!
